"Such a waste of talent. He chose money over power. In this town, a mistake nearly everyone makes. Money is the Mc-mansion in Sarasota that starts falling apart after 10 years. Power is the old stone building that stands for centuries. I cannot respect someone who doesn’t see the difference."tv meme; 1/5 shows: house of cards
REMINDER: if you have a vagina and want to use Plan B as an emergency contraceptive, it loses effectiveness if you weigh more than 165 lbs (74.84 kg) and is completely ineffective for those that weight more than 176 lbs (79.83 kg) (x)
Let me spread the shit out of this.
This is horrifying. And sadly true.

AUTHOR OF THOSE TAGS HERE, and a closer translation would be “I usually stay completely out of it on the fairly-regular occasion that one of them fucks up, and I made the specific decision in this case to reblog something I otherwise wouldn’t because it seemed fucked up to reblog everything else he tweeted that afternoon and act like this one never happened.”
I stayed FAR THE FUCK AWAY from real people fandoms for YEARS because REAL PEOPLE DO THINGS YOU DON’T WANT THEM TO DO, REAL PEOPLE FUCK UP, REAL PEOPLE ARE FUCKED UP, so when I ultimately lost the struggle to a bunch of dudes in their late teens and early twenties, AKA THE PEAK DEMOGRAPHIC FOR FUCKING NIGHTMARE BEHAVIOR, the investment and enthusiasm I built up was never conditional on them being the kind of people I’d want to associate with with in real life. I spend enough of my time trying to figure out how and when to address shit like this at work/school/home and in social situations, and I’m not sorry for preferring to find a way to make my own peace with things when it comes to something I’m doing purely for fun.
-Who are you kidding? Girls can’t play softball.
-What did you say?
-I said girls can’t play softball.
Uh, I do remember what I said. The promise… to protect her. If I’d have done that, even if I didn’t make it, you wouldn’t have had to jump. But I want you to know I did save you. Not when it counted, of course, but after that. Every night after that. I’d see it all again. I do something different. Faster or more clever, you know? Dozens of times, lots of different ways. Every night I save you.
